Check the basic facts on every page
Read the homepage and service pages as a customer would. Are your telephone number, trading name and coverage areas accurate? Do pages claim services you no longer offer? Check opening or contact hours if you publish them. A wrong phone number or outdated service list can waste potential enquiries even when the design itself is excellent.
Test every way a visitor can contact you
Tap the phone number on a real mobile, send the quotation form, check file-upload fields if present and confirm that messages arrive in your inbox rather than spam. Test both a straightforward enquiry and an incomplete form so errors are understandable. Make sure the thank-you message explains what happens next without promising a response window your business cannot meet.
Review pages on more than one screen
Check headings, contrast, navigation and buttons on a smaller phone as well as a desktop. Long project captions should remain readable and photographs should not cover important text. A sticky enquiry button can be useful, but not if it blocks the form or obscures the phone keyboard. Assess the site on an ordinary mobile connection, not only a fast office Wi-Fi network.
Preserve search essentials
Each important page needs a descriptive title and a clear subject, and the public pages should be indexable. Check canonical URLs, internal navigation, sitemap inclusion and redirects from replaced addresses. If the business has a Google Business Profile, ensure its website link uses the new public URL. Search visibility is not immediate and cannot be promised by a launch checklist.
Do a final real-customer run-through
Ask someone unfamiliar with the business to find whether you offer wallpapering in their town and request a quote. Watch where they hesitate without coaching them. Then confirm the handover: domain ownership, ongoing support, backups and the process for changing prices or adding project photos. LLTT Media can discuss managed website design and ongoing care through its services and contact pages.
A five-minute launch journey to test
Pretend you are a homeowner searching for a decorator who can repaint a stairwell. Open the finished site on a phone using mobile data, find the interior decorating service, view a real project and submit a quotation request with an ordinary postcode and short description. Check the confirmation appears, the message reaches the correct inbox and the owner can reply. Repeat using the telephone link and any optional photo upload.
Then check the technical basics: each public URL loads directly, important page titles and canonical addresses are correct, broken pages redirect appropriately, and the sitemap lists the published pages. Check that the current service areas are accurate. A polished preview on a designer’s laptop is not a substitute for testing the ordinary enquiry journey.
